The Need For Creeds

Do you believe in God? Do you believe in Jesus Christ? How does God speak to people today? Do you believe in the Holy Spirit? How does God save people and for that matter what is salvation? What is the nature of God? Are there things about God, salvation, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, scripture, God’s church and other things that are set in stone (forgive the pun) and others with which the church can be somewhat flexible? And even if we do settle upon some of these things today what about tomorrow? Should the church revisit and perhaps even revise these issues each generation or each time it comes into contact with a new or different culture? I don’t think we have to. Why?

On To Miami

One down... one to go. Now that the brothers have blessed us with what thus says the Lord through the book of Galatians in Chitown, we turn our thoughts to Miami. (which is lovely in Novemeber)

 The Miami Pastor's Conference is set for Nov. 6-8 with the theme of what God is saying through His church. Plenary speakers include Rev. Voddie Baucham and Rev. Mike Campbell. More information is sure to follow. For now get ready to sign up early and then call and encourage a friend to do so.

What Difference Does The Gospel Make

The 2008 New Life Fellowship Church bible conference is on the difference the gospel makes. The conference will take an in-depth look at the book of Galatians and what it says about the gospel and what difference the gospel makes in our lives. The conference speakers are Rev. Thabiti Anyabwile, pastor of First Baptist Church of Grand Cayman, Rev. Anthony Carter, assistant pastor of Southwest Christian Fellowship and Rev.
